Hyperlinks and Sub-Catalogue Items
Previous versions of the e-Library Web OPAC displayed internet links and sub-catalogue* items amongst the search results. The current version of the e-Library Web OPAC does not display these items in this way in order to save space. Instead, these details can be found by viewing an item in more detail.
If an item is attached to another item in the catalogue the following link will appear at the bottom of the detail screen.
![]()
Simply click on the link to jump to the Main Item's record.
If an item is a Main Item then the following link will appear at the bottom of the screen:
![]()
Click on the link to view a list of Sub-Catalogue items that are attached to this Main Item.
If an item has internet links attached to it they will appear towards the bottom of the detail screen in the section called URLs. Click on any of these links to jump to their website.
*Sub-Catalogue items are simply catalogue items that form part of another record. For instance, the record for a video may have a number of Sub-Catalogue items describing each of the programs on that video or the record for a kit may have a number of Sub-Catalogue records for each item that appears in that kit.
